Where Tomorrow's Top Journalists Get Their Start
Journalism at Newmark J-School
The world urgently needs strong journalism. Amid growing polarization, censorship, and misinformation, good journalists are crucial to keeping people informed. At Newmark, our students are developing journalism skills to serve people and uphold democracy.
Our master’s programs in journalism emphasize the importance of field reporting with precision, nuance, and compassion while teaching students to break reporting cliches and biases. You will learn to authentically connect with communities and uncover wrongdoings. By the end of your training, you will know how to earn people’s trust, create news, and walk away with the tools to shape the industry for the better.
Award-Winning Alumni
Newmark alumni produce work at media organizations providing local and
national coverage at places like Bloomberg, CNN, The New York Times, NPR, Reuters, Rolling Stone, The Wall Street Journal, Gothamist, New York Daily News, Telemundo, MSNBC, and more.
